Motovun
Motovun is a beautiful medieval town situated on top of a hill in the northern part of Istria, above the river Mirna valley. It is surrounded by numerous vineyards with the most famous Istrian wines Teran and Malvasia. Motovun forest is a well-known habitat of underground mushrooms - truffles which is the reason for numerous gastronomic events in the region. In addition to the rich architectural heritage, history and gastronomy, Motovun also gathers many well-known film artists from around the world at the international Motovun Film Festival.
