Maribor is the second largest city in Slovenia, located at the foot of Pohorje Mountain, on the Drava River. In the center of the city grows the oldest grape vines in the world, aged over 400 years and enrolled in the Guinness Book of Records. Numerous events are held in Maribor, among which is the largest Slovenian Festival Lent, named after the oldest part of the city, and Maribor was declared the European Capital of Culture in 2012.
