Baška

Baška is the best known tourist centre on the island of Krk, the largest island of the Adriatic, and Vela Plaža, the 1800 m long pebble beach, is probably the beach Baška is immediately associated with. Rightly, we would say, given that many say it is among the most beautiful beaches of the Adriatic.

Although located on the island, bus station Baška is well connected to the mainland by the bridge of Krk, which makes all Krk destinations easily accessible.
Regular bus lines connect Baška with other towns on the island of Krk, and with some of the major cities on the mainland, especially with Rijeka and Zagreb. Buses operate on the Rijeka – Baška route (the ride takes approximately 2 hours) several times a day, all year round, and the lines are more frequent during the summer season.
