Vukovar

Vukovar is a city in the east Croatia, located on the Danube River which connects it with Budapest and Vienna. Near the city lies the archaeological site Vučedol, from where comes the symbol of the city - the Vučedol dove. On the Danube island known as the "Vukovar ada" you can swim in the summer season, while on the river Vuka fishing is very popular and ice-skating in winter time.
